PROSPERA Presents: An Exclusive Interview with the Rising Star, Mahnoor Qureshi
Islamabad’s newest talent is ready to take the industry by storm, one commanding step at a time.
In the bustling world of fashion and film, discovering a fresh face with genuine depth is like finding a hidden gem. At just 19, Mahnoor Qureshi is that gem. Hailing from the serene capital city of Islamabad, she brings with her a unique blend of striking features and an artist’s soul. With a year of experience already under her belt and a representation by the prestigious Ministry of Talents, Mahnoor is poised to move from promising newcomer to a household name.
We sat down with her to discuss her journey, her passions, and why she is determined to be more than just a striking figure.
Prospera: Mahnoor, thank you for joining us. It’s a pleasure to sit down with one of Islamabad’s most exciting emerging talents. Let’s start at the beginning: what first sparked your interest in the worlds of modelling and acting?
Mahnoor Qureshi: Thank you for having me! It’s a feeling I’ve had for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was always drawn to storytelling—whether it was through the characters I saw on screen or the emotions captured in a photograph. Islamabad has a very calm, artistic energy, but I always felt this drive to express myself on a bigger platform. It wasn’t about wanting to be famous; it was about wanting to connect, to perform, and to tell stories. Modelling and acting feel like the most authentic outlets for that passion.
Prospera: You have a striking presence, standing at 5’9″. In an industry that often celebrates height, how do you perceive your own physique? You mentioned in your introductory words that you are “more than just a height statistic.” Can you elaborate on that?
Mahnoor Qureshi: (Laughs softly) Yes, that phrase is very close to my heart. My height is a gift—it helps me command a room and gives me a certain silhouette that works well for fashion. But I am acutely aware that in our industry, physical attributes can sometimes become the only thing people see. For me, my height is the vessel, not the message. The message comes from within. It comes from the hours I spend understanding a character, the way I interpret a script, or the emotion I can convey with just a look. I want designers and directors to see that I can use my physical presence to enhance a performance, not replace it.
Prospera: You are currently represented by the Ministry of Talents. How has that partnership helped shape your journey so far?
Mahnoor Qureshi: It has been absolutely instrumental. Finding an agency that believes in your potential before you’ve fully proven yourself is rare. The Ministry of Talents has provided me with a structure and a support system. They understand my vision and work tirelessly to connect me with opportunities that align with my goals, not just any assignment that comes along. They’ve helped me build a professional foundation, from portfolio development to navigating the industry’s nuances. It’s a collaborative family, and I’m incredibly proud to be a part of it.
Prospera: You describe yourself as a “passionate performer” with a strong belief in your spoken word and acting abilities. Is there a particular genre or type of role you are most drawn to?
Mahnoor Qureshi: I am deeply drawn to complex, layered characters. I’m not interested in playing someone who is simply “good” or “bad.” I want to explore the grey areas—the motivations, the vulnerabilities, the inner conflicts. I love stories that are rooted in reality, that explore human relationships and societal dynamics. With spoken word, it’s about the rhythm and the power of language. I hope to find roles that allow me to combine that love for language with a deep physical and emotional performance.
Prospera: For those who haven’t seen your work yet, where can they get a glimpse of your talent?
Mahnoor Qureshi: The best way to see my journey unfold is through my portfolio on the Ministry of Talents platform. That’s the central hub for my professional work. I also share behind-the-scenes moments, my thoughts on creativity, and some of my spoken word pieces on my social media. It’s where I can connect more personally with people who are interested in my journey as an artist.
Prospera: At only 19, you have a very mature and grounded perspective. What is the ultimate dream you are working towards?
Mahnoor Qureshi: My ultimate dream is to create a body of work that resonates with people long after they’ve seen it. I want to be part of projects that spark conversations, that make people feel seen, and that push creative boundaries. I dream of working with visionary directors who challenge me and of sharing the screen with actors I can learn from. I want to stand on a global stage, not just as a model from Islamabad, but as a performer who has something meaningful to say.
Prospera: A final message for the industry and for those just discovering Mahnoor Qureshi?
Mahnoor Qureshi: Be ready. I am here to work hard, to learn, and to prove that I am a force to be reckoned with. The journey is just beginning, and I invite you all to watch as I turn every inch of my presence into a lasting impression.
