British HC Reaffirms Support for Pakistan's Mediation Role in Iran-US Talks

The British High Commissioner has reiterated the United Kingdom’s support for Pakistan’s facilitative role in the ongoing talks between Iran and the United States. The reaffirmation came during a meeting between the British envoy and Pakistani officials, where discussions focused on regional peace and diplomatic efforts.

The British High Commissioner acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive efforts in bringing both sides to the negotiating table and praised the country’s consistent emphasis on dialogue and diplomacy. He expressed confidence in Pakistan’s ability to continue playing a positive role as a mediator in the delicate ceasefire negotiations.

Pakistani officials briefed the British High Commissioner on the latest developments, including the extension of the US-Iran ceasefire at Pakistan’s request and the upcoming second round of talks scheduled in Islamabad. They highlighted that Pakistan remains in close contact with both Washington and Tehran to create a conducive environment for a permanent peace deal.

The British side also stressed the importance of de-escalation and urged all parties to maintain the ceasefire and give diplomacy a full chance to succeed. Both sides agreed that a peaceful resolution of the US-Iran standoff is critical for regional stability and economic prosperity.

This diplomatic engagement comes as Pakistan continues to position itself as a key mediator in one of the most volatile geopolitical flashpoints, with world leaders closely watching the Islamabad peace process.
