ISLAMABAD, April 19, 2026 – Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan visited the residence of SSP Islamabad Dr. Iqbal earlier today to express his deepest condolences on the passing of Dr. Iqbal’s mother.
The Governor arrived at the family home in the capital, where he was received by Dr. Iqbal and other family members. The atmosphere was solemn as dignitaries and close associates gathered to pay their respects.
Fateha Recited for the Departed Soul
Upon his arrival, Governor Sardar Saleem Haider led a prayer session (Fateha Khwani) for the eternal peace of the departed soul. He sought Allah’s blessings, asking for forgiveness and the highest ranks in Jannah for the deceased.
The Governor spent considerable time with the grieving family, listening to their memories of the late matriarch and offering words of comfort.

“We Stand With You in This Hour of Grief”
In his remarks to the family and other mourners present, Governor Sardar Saleem Haider expressed his heartfelt solidarity:
“In this difficult hour of grief, we stand shoulder to shoulder with the bereaved family. No words can truly ease the pain of losing a mother, but we pray that Allah grants you the strength and patience to bear this irreplaceable loss.”
He further prayed for the forgiveness and elevation of the departed soul’s ranks, stating:
“May Allah bless the deceased with His infinite mercy and grant her a high place in Jannah. And may He give the family the courage to endure this moment of profound sorrow.”
